Hurray, first journal!

A couple days ago I was looking around DA for some art and found some art that I really liked. So I go to the person's profile and they had apparently left DA and gave a list of reasons why they left in their journal. This list had some reasons such as no longer being interested in DA, but one of the reasons were that just about all the art here is "bad". And that is what made me want to write this journal.

Is there such a thing as "bad" art? Does art really have any standards?

In my opinion, anything that is creative (such as art) has no standards so you can't really categorize certain art as "bad". You have the choice whether or not you like it, but you not liking it doesn't make it bad.

I would like to know your opinion on this.
